What our clients are saying!!

I love the sense of "family" at Phoenix.  My daughter has ridden there for about 3 years and its a great mix of people who all love horses!  Instruction is very individualized to the student's interest and ability -- and its FUN!   J.G.

You really helped me understand concepts that my previous ”well trained” instructor did not!  You made it click with me. T.B.

My daughter started riding lessons 5 years ago and after watching her for a year, learning and having fun I decided to join her.  We are both taking lessons from Jane and we are having a blast and of course learning allot.  My daughter did her first official horseshow in April and again in June and did very well including a first prize.  We enjoy our trainer, the barn and all the people around it tremendously.  R.H.

Ace and Dexter have been at Phoenix since October 2004.  In March 2005, I took Dexter to Florida and competed at the Advanced level in Combined Driving in an International Event.  I did well, and part of the reason was that I could ride him in the wonderful indoor arena for Dressage and for conditioning, regardless of the winter weather outside.  Ace and Dexter have plenty of room to run and play and plenty of hay to eat.  I appreciate being able to have them fed and looked at every day, because I cannot be there every day. It is a positive feature that Phoenix is constantly working on the upkeep, repairs, and improvements at the stable.  I love being able to ride inside in all kinds of weather. Because, although I certainly spend a lot of time riding, MOST of my time is spent driving my carriage, I appreciate the open parking area to drive in and the easy accessibility to the miles of roads to drive on.  It is challenging because of the amount of equipment it takes to drive, and I appreciate the “carriage trailer” I have.  I have a number of grandchildren who like to come out and play with my horses, and I feel it is a happy place to do that.  In addition, two of them have had fun taking lessons, and Abigail is continuing, especially enjoying her lessons.  Barb S.

I have boarded one or two horses at Phoenix stable for over five years. I has used the lesson program, participated in shows and have had my mare bred under Janine’s supervision. I have always appreciated the level of attention that Janine and the staff give to the horses, regardless of whether you pasture board or use a stall. One example that really sticks out in my mind is when I called Janine to see if she thought my horse was good to ride in a foxhunt after he had been healing fro a cut leg. She told me she thought he was find and had talked to the vet. She further went on to tell me he was missing a shoe but she put him on the farrier list and he would have a new one the next day. All the while she was at a horse show out of town. I was really impressed with the fact that despite being in the middle of a horse show, she was aware that my horse was missing a shoe! It doesn’t get much better than that.  Bill M.

I have been riding with Janine for 12 years and she has made it possible for me to achieve all of goals and helps me work on new ones going forward.  KC

Jane is a wonderful instructor.  Patient, yet firm, encouraging, knowledgeable, always upbeat.   The horses are well cared for and healthy.   L. B.
